Browser support for <video> element

    This is great news but sad to know that only firefox supports this. Why can't we have all the browsers implement advanced tags like this. I hope microsoft will consider adding this to IE as well and chrome and safari will follow too.

    No! Like I said in my post, ALL the modern browser DO support this element including Safari and Opera (and Chrome, I think). IE8 is not a modern browser so it does not.

    Exactly. <video src="yourvideo.mpg"></video>.
    There are attributes for controls, too.
