Godaddy not sending transfers registration email

Im getting the impression that Godaddy are doing this on purpose to prevent domains being transfered away from them.

Im transferring some domains to namecheap and have done the EPP code, but you are meant to get another email from the existing registrar where you clikc a link to transfer away from them - well thats what used to happen.

These days all my transfers from godaddy are failing. I am not receiving this transfer confirmation email and as such, Namecheap after several days cancel the transfer because its not authorized from the current registrar.

Has anyone else had this problem?

My emails are all up to date, I received the EPP codes just fine.
This is something very sus on Godaddy's end.

Namecheap said that Godaddy are blocking them for something or other, I'll copy from the email when i get on my other computer. But it sounds VERY dodgy to me, Godaddy seem to be purposely making it very difficult to transfer domains out. Just more reason to move all my domains away asap.

If that is true about Godaddy, then your course of action is the correct one. I don't use the same registrar as the hosting company use to register my domain names. I hope this would help. I did get caught once and abandoned my domain following a lak of service on the host part, and, worse, their attempt to charge me for a domain renewal after had cancelled my contract. I also suggest you get a new issue of your credit card, once a year, to avoid being charged without authorisation, and its attendant work/hassle to rectify the matter. My credit/debit card will not honour a charge against an expired or cancelled card, even if a new card has been issued on the same account. This has helped as well. :)

    Enjoy

when transferring domains TO godaddy from various other hosts, i never received emails from those various hosting companies, however godaddy would auto accept the domain tranx if no answer after 5 days. Just waited the 5 days and there is was in my account, should hopefully do it automatically with your new host as long as you have inputted the auto code, and your domain is not under "lock" status at godaddy. Good luck!

I've never had any trouble with Godaddy transfers in or out so I shouldn't worry that much.
