I just transferred 9 domains from Godaddy to Namecheap. I just feel that Godaddy is too slow and the interface is messed up. I will be moving more domains to Namecheap. If you decide to move domains to namecheap.com, use the coupon code: SWITCH2NC. I missed to use that coupon code out of pure blunder. I could have saved around 20 bucks had I used the said code.
Coupon already posted here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1171597&highlight=SWITCH2NC
The new interface of Godaddy makes things worse. A friend of mine paid more than $70 dollars for registering one domain. It was his first time. He had no idea that Godaddy set him up to default parameters in which he was going to pay much higher than the normal domain price. You know Godaddy. They push you to buy and order all sorts of crap "add-ons." And the interface, why do we have to open another browser whenever we browse our domain? On the other hand, Namecheap provides free whois privacy. Godaddy charges it at $8 plus.
Yes I have to agree with that part. When you change name server on GD I often get a message halfway through and interupting the change as they try to sell you parking service. I also find that since using Vista that pages open up in a new window, this happened on Sedo as well.
Hey I always prefer namecheap, and i have to transfer few of my domains from yahoo to namecheap. Thanks for sharing mate.
