Seriously... what's with these people?

do any one have Exp. in Akismet how essential it is to Block Spam ..

 

I never heard about akismet before that is why I usually do it manually. Is it a kind of spam protection? or hardware? I have no idea about it.

 

It is a plugin for wordpress blog, usually you get this installed already if you using wordpress blog, it blocks comment spam

 

is it only available for wordpress? I mean is it applicable for another?

 

this is a common prob with blogs..so i advice to turn off comments for your blogs...coz spam comments become a nuisance!

 

Actually it is available for other platform, I know only for wordpress, because I never use other platform
