    Hello Everyone,

I've released my first CB product. It's an easy to read, informative ebook on blackjack strategies starting off with the basics and ending with simple to follow card counting system. I think many readers of your lists and websites will find it good value for the money spent.

    Product Page: http://makeblackjackmoney.com/ebook/
    Affiliate Tools: http://makeblackjackmoney.com/affiliates/
    Product Price: $9.95
    Commission: 60%
    Hoplink: http://xxxxxx.isighttech.hop.clickbank.net

I think the affiliate creatives are appealing. I really like the website. As of today there have been 45 hops since last Friday without a conversion.

    Hoping that will change. :)

Let me know your thoughts. I'm new to the community and here to learn.

    Thanks,
    Steve

"As of today there have been 45 hops since last Friday without a conversion."

This is not something you necessarily want to broadcast to affiliates... Does that mean you're not doing your own testing of the page? :)

Oh, and 60% of $9.95 doesn't leave much room for costs (such as PPC).

Lastly.. any book like this absolutely MUST come with proof. You've got 3 paragraphs of copy and nothing to back up what you're saying. Why not use the strategy yourself for a few weeks, take some screenshots of your winnings and stick them on there.

Thanks Tiger. Not following your comment of "testing the page". How might I test this page? How would I run testing traffic to it?

From my understanding you can't run PPC ads to a gambling website. But maybe there are other, gambling friendly (ifsmall) ppc engines?

I hear you on the proof. Very good idea. Will put that in play. Thanks.

You can test it by driving traffic to it. Some ad networks allow gambling related ads - it's up to you to find them and buy ads. Or, buy links/banners/featured reviews/blog posts/etc on related sites directly with the owners. Or optimize it for search engines and build backlinks to pick up organic search traffic. Or advertise in magazines/papers.. and so on and so on. Traffic = testing :)

I'm going to disagree. I don't think there is anyway to pre-test a $9.95 gambling ebook sales page, and come out ahead...although now you've got me thinking...I'm going to try ifsmall. (http://ifsmall.com/) They will send me 10K visits for 9.95 :) ..although quality of that traffic will undoubtedly be questionable.

Stopped by your Shoulder Pain page. One of the better sales pages I've seen. Great clean layout and nice choice of copy and spacing. Nicely done.

I wouldn't do the traffic program. It's not going to get you any sales. But if you don't think you could come out ahead with a $9.95 gambling eBook, how do you think affiliates will?

As a subpage of your main site and for so cheap, you're better off just promoting it to those on your site as you already do on the right hand side.

This model can work, I've done it myself on other sites. Having a low ticket product in this way.

But as for getting affiliates to drive such a product, forget it.

I suggest creating a new book, ramping up the price (gambling products are quite high ticket) and the commission to 75% on its own domain.

By the way your site is incredibly slow loading for me.

Yeah, not to hijack the thread, but @ TigerPublising - that sales page is very nice, can you tell me who designed it, or was it your handywork?

Hey Nick. No problem. I know, TigerPublishing has a good looking page. In reponse to the beast I was speaking in terms of the testing. I don't expect the affiliates to dish out a grand to drive traffic to me. I'd think they would do the article marketing or include it on the mailings to their list to blog about it on their blogs. I think, sure, for them it can pay off. I just meant for me to dump a grand up front..it would be a while before I saw that back.

rolf, thanks for that. Great feedback. Good to know. Yeah the site is on a gridservice with MediaTemple..I thought it was running a bit of a dog. Not sure about the whole, mulitple sites for 29.00 a month they have. It's good for putting up testing sites I guess but yeah, appreciate the feedback on that.
