Anybody even had a site removed from Googles index and then gone through the process of getting it included again.

I want to know what I am to with a few of my sites that have been removed from googles index completly- even when you put the domain name in the search term- other sites(that link to me) come up.

I have got a link for the Webmaster area where I ask to relist the sites (3) I am going to rebuild them first. Let me know your experiences.....

I've been to a training day - was invited by Google people as part of the "Google Ambassador" program - they talked about this issue...
From what I understand - go to the Google SEO forum, (the one Google manages and moderates) - and raise this issue there...

Another Idea I would think of - I would invest a small amount of money ($20 per month? ) to advertise with Google ads... or even integrate my site with Google search or Adsense...

all these advices will cost you very little time investment - don't give up!

    Cheers,
    Uri

We managed to get our site banned from google a couple of years ago.

Clean the site in question up (really clean) and resubmit to google. We did this alongside a grovelling email.

Three months later the home page of the site was reincluded and over the next couple of months everything went back to normal.

    Regards

    Dave

    Thanks Dave,
that was the feedback I was looking for, and that was the process I had in mind- I have had 50 sites removed- i wont be grovelling for all- but some are worth it (sites with 900 links to them)

we live and learn- some said google is god- No- google is faster at punishment! LOL

Yes, I had a website that was doing very well organically in google. 150k+ indexed pages and 5k uniques/day. I was making $150-$200/day just letting it sit off adsense and affiliate programs. I decided to use a page on that domain to send Craiglist traffic to. Bad decisions! Pretty sure CL informed Google and my site got completely de-indexed. You can definitely say I learned my lesson. Never do anything even a little 'grey' on a website you care about.

    Hi Ryan,
I met you briefly at the Stephen Piece event last year (I am one of Stevens Students and reader of ezine experiment- way back ;) )

What happened has actually been a good thing -It made me look for a better system. I will rebuild the sites,(using a wordpress system -on steroids) as I get time and the quality will be better, and my niche research is better.

I have found some good people to work with, when the product - (a wordpress dashboard type system) is top rate and support is excellent.

I have worked for a few clients that have come to me with sites that were removed from the index for a variety of reasons (spamming their meta info, keyword stuffing alt text, etc).

You just really have to clean up any instances that are no-no's and draft a nice email to explain that you have made the appropriate changes that make your site Google friendly; I can't hyperlink b/c I'm a newbie on this forum but the URL for re-inclusion to the Google index is this:

Thanks for the answer - I have the links and am starting the process. How long did it take from submission to approval?

The turnaround time was fairly quick. One site took about 3 weeks, but another took as little as 4 days. Good luck!

Never had any of my sites removed from index, and I don't plan on getting any of my current ones removed either. Whitehat SEO ftw.

I have worked out why the sites were removed- the site was similar design/layout to many others AND It also have too many affiliate affiliate links- 5 plus to amazon on each page. this would have made it an a "thin affiliate model" -(a site put up just for affiliate marketing).

I have have had this happen with sites that use data feeds to create sites.

I had one of my site deindexed from google, after year was everything fine, crawled and indexed again. Don't know why been deindexed, I could only suppose, cause of some link exchange program.

I think there are glitches somewhere and it takes time and patience to be re-indexed by itself.
    .

    Nothing to worry about
