Hi, I'm just preparing a website for a client, in the EPC niche (that's UK's new idea for homes, nevermind). I've been googling for some phrases and I found this: http://www.commercialenergyperformancecertificates.co.uk/ How big can a link farm be? I mean, what the hell? I keep reading about google penalizing websites that spam keywords or whatever, look at this, it's all creater purely for purpose of the ads or whatever. It shattered my opinion on google completely.
I won't call this a link farm considering most of the links on the page point to within the website itself. Don't know about you but i suspect link farms contain too many links from unconnected websites all in one location.
I don't consider this a link farm either. This is just a spammy website with too many links. Link farms more refer to websites who link to a ton of unrelated websites. Usually those are the ones that have 20 - 40 pages of links all in one big list. Here's a wikipedia page about link farms: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link_farm
that's your typical 'made for adsense' site. Although 'made for', they rarely 'make' any money from adsense.
Would somebody want to sit down and read through all that mess is the question. Whoever made the site is a complete "id E it"
Google doesn't "Ban" they filter sites with Software. There are BILLIONS of pages to index. Software is not perfect. No point in being the World's police. The system can be gamed and it can also be manipulated. And sometimes things just slip through.
you guys are mistaken that website is not a link farm...it has a lot of internal linking which probably helped it get pr2
How about another massive link count on one page? Only this one is actually useful. Transmission parts catalog

This site just looks like an attempt to... well I am not really sure exactly. I know a lot of sites use intralinks to help the spiders out on their sites and show readers that they have previously covered topics similar to the one they are reading, but this... this is just a mess.
mayb the guy believes he is creating backlinks to other pages of his sites? What an idiot anyway. I love it how he says DEC every sentence and then later goes DEC (with a link) - in case you dont know what it means, refer to (same link) HAHAHA
I am a big fan of good interlinking of pages in content. I think it helps the SE spider better, and possibly help rankings (think Wikipedia) but there has to be a point where it is too much.
