In my campaign summary page the avg position for a keyword is 8.8 but when i check in the ad diagnostic tool it is showing at 2 position..I m soo confused why this mismatch is there..also no clicks are coming..what should i do..Please suggest.
Are you sure that the 2 bids are matching...? In the diagnostic tool make sure you enter the bid price you are using for the keyword within the actual account.
Please be patient, Improve your ad copy, If the two don't exactly match there is no problem as the AVG position is not real time information. Use spyfu.com to pinch the keywords your competitors are using and use them, you might get more clicks. seperate all your keywords into very tight ad groups and write very targeted ads (include your keywords in ads) for them. if you had these keywords for examples dog collars, dog accessories in the same ad group, seperate them into two ad groups and put them like this: Gp1: dog collars keywords - dog collars " dog collars" [dog collars] Gp1 2 dog accessories Keywords - dog accessories "dog accessories" "dog accessories" Good luck
I think the OP may mean when he uses the Ad Preview Tool his ad is showing a very different ranking to what his stats say. I think that's what he means anyway.
You mean to say that I should add all the three match type in the same ad group,What is the advantage of doing so.Doesn't it divides the traffic?
No, you can eventually make statistical comparisons to see what works best in terms of conversions or also determine which has the lowest CPC.
This depends on who's advice you take. My advice is split the match types into different Ad Groups. I eventually learnt that there are so many advantages of doing it this way.
*ongoing battle continues* I'd recommend keeping multiple match types of the the same and related keywords together in the same ad group for ease of management but muchacho79's viewpoint is that you should split them out by match type. We're agreeing to disagree at the moment Check out the thread for both sides of the argument: Broad, Phrase, Exact Match...in same ad group?
