Great list, although since I added pinging into my Wordpress blogs it tended to slow it down. I have used Auto Buzzer which pings them without the delay.

I recommend using the default one which comes with wordpress ...

pingomatic.com includes many ping services. if you ping the same service more than certain number of times in short amount of time then it will be considered as spamming ...

if you Ping ping services to often can get your blog banned from using them because of ping spamming.

So, I recommend using the default one which comes with wordpress.

The problem with Ping-o-Matic, is that it doesn't always ping the major services properly or not at all.

 

Here is a List of 109 Pinging Resources, some of the links may overlap however there is a extra 50 in there somewhere!

Those aren't ping update services, they are social bookmarking websites.

 

Thank you for the list. I just installed the maxblog ping optimizer for a new WP site of mine. This will help.

 

I am now using AutoBuzzer on this regard...but this list comes in handy for sure...
