Another "man of god" rapes a child (and another denies the holocaust).

True, but would you have made a thread about it? (no)

There are many wolfs in sheeps clothing in the world, you just have to watch your ass (literally lol).

But to me reading your message makes me feel like you're prejudice against religious organizations...and if that's true, don't you think its a little absurd?

While they have done their share of bad to the world, and they like to fight with each other (good riddance?), the religions of the world have laid the foundation of morality for mankind (something evolution cannot do :p ).

What gets me about his posts is his extreme bias . Stox thinks that all religious people dont condemn acts of this kind. It seems to me that stox should be against all human beings from all groups because there were many atheists that have comitted even more atrocious acts upon human being (mao, hitler as just afew examples). Sometimes you have to take the blinders off and see the good and the bad in all groups and not judge or condemn them based on the actions of a small percentage of bad people. Im sure there are many atheists that have used their position of power and influence to perpitrate sick acts among other people but you will never hear this from stox. Condemning a whole group of people or religion is wrong and any human being can see this.

Whats absurd about being opposed to beliefs that are inherently homophobic, anti-science, in some cases barbaric, oppressive and in the case of Mormonism until recently, racist by design?

Religion disgusts me. I think it's detrimental to society, destructive and incompatible with progress. I have never tried to hide this.

don't take my word for it, take a look around you and read the holy books. let's stop assuming religious beliefs are automatically entitled to respect, stop pretending faith is a virtue instead of the self-serving vice it really is and start telling it like it is.

In the last 2 weeks alone we have had rape, paedophilia, domestic violence and murder all defended on this forum because it was either permitted by the religious texts, it was something thier prophet done or it was done by someone of the same religion. Granted it was mostly the same person defending them all, But it's indicative of what a religious belief makes people capable of.

Not too long ago we had the people on this forum openly admitting that if their god told them to they would murder their own children. How can we not be prejudice against this way of thinking?

your problem is that you focus on some words of religious posts and don't have a look at the context, are you one eyed man or dishonest one?

No "context" could justify paedophilia, domestic violence, rape and murder.

They are wrong actions, no one justified them.

    Context adjust your sick understanding.

If a police saw me at the time my hand was catching the knife while I am trying to take out of the victim's body, he would think that I am inserting it in his body.

The fact is not what you claim, the fact is what the context says.

Don't cut the related ideas and bring me your blind, silly perspective.

No, you defended paedophilia by suggesting it depended on what point in history the abuse of a child was committed and you justified domestic violence by saying an "islamic beating" is acceptable because it wasn't a very hard beating. feel free to retract everything you have said, but don't pretend you didn't say it.

See how much trouble you find yourself in when you are told what to think?

If only you transferred all this negative energy into something positive Stox, you might actually be able to make the difference you claim to be fighting for.

Blind hatred really doesn't do any good, and it sure wastes a lot of time in the P&R forum doesn't it ? :p

Funny how religion is supposed to get a free pass. Imagine if a social club had as many paedophiles in it as the catholic clergy does or if they told their members that if they don't renew their membership they are liable to be murdered like islam does. Religion is not entitled to a free pass.

These people do this and then expect you to believe in God I don't think so.
