well, nice advices. i would highly recommend to use social networking (bookmarking, twitter and so on..) to get some traffic fast and maybe some useful inlinks too.

If you are using the wordpress platform with new content regularly, then add onlywire.com to your marketing. Just have to join all the social bookmarking sites first, takes 30 minutes. Then add their button to your browser. WHen you have a new posting, just click on the button and feed in keyword and short description of your posting and hit the button, bingo...extra traffic. IMPORTANT! Be careful from repeating this process over and over for the same websites. You will form a footprint and google will penalize you, plus the social bookmarking sites can ban you from further postings! So every three or four postings, go out and post other sites content to it, mix it up!

The most important part is to take action on what you read, not just reading it and keep it in your brain without implementation...

Online discussions alone may not neccesarily promote your website.Asking questions,responding to request for help ,etc .There is also the need to fully optimise your search engine optimisation for effective results.
