I've heard a lot about this forum but just hadn't gotten around to joining. Now I see that there's a lot I've missed. Looks like I have some catching up to do while learning my way around. Open to suggestions as to the best places to hang in here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in the Pacific Northwest, USA and have spent a lot of time involved with web development. I was a lead webmaster for a large aircraft manufacturer for my last three years there when our jobs were shipped overseas and we were sent packing. That was in 2000 during the dot com crash.

So much has changed since then in the programming world that I totally got left behind. With so many programming choices now, I don't know if I even want to go there.

I'm looking forward to hanging out here and learning about this forum and the people here.

This place is huge. I've been going over the FAQ's and rules. It's like getting dropped off in the middle of a huge city without a car or map. The shear number of people in here is overwhelming. I can only imagine the power that strategic alliances formed in here could have on a persons business. I guess it will take some time to get to know who the power brokers are in here.

Sorry it took so long to get back here. Had to do the tax prep thing. It's amazing how many people come out of the woodwork when they find out that you can do taxes. lol Not only had to mine but several others too.
