I have done SEO for one of my website and its in top 100 for a keyword which is getting 20k search per month (adwords tools) and good advertiser competition.I have achieved this by just directory submission and forum signature links. So how difficult is to be at the top 10 of google ?
which all other link building methods I can use and how can i know the exact competition of getting top of google ?
Try other link building methods Sooner or later some links from forums will be removed in search engines. Also, directories are getting obsolete nowadays. I suggest you use different strategies in building links. That would help you for your campaign to reach the first page.
You can try to other link building tactics like article submission, blog posting, rss submission, social bookmarking, classified submission, pr submission.
Keep doing link building, focusing on keyword. Title and Des should be include with the keywords. - Jopson
it is not difficult as what you think it is... just keep building links like... social bookmarking and networking, blog commenting, press release, classified ads etc.
Keep building quality backlinks via methods mentioned in this thread already. That's the main path of achieving it.
apply all other mathods for link building.... article submissions, social bookmarking, link exchange, link trading etc....
you do not mention which website, searches is totally different to clicks and views, ensure you onpage items are right and each page presents a single idea, do not try to have webspages with mutiple keyword phrases as you will reduce the effectiveness of your campaign...

keep making lot of links for your target keywords important this is make theme base links and also Page rank base links, it is very useful for search engines..there are so many way to get links...just read my blog and get it..i added my blog in signature..
