When I set up a new site I will first slam the one way links, then add a few back links, Then start my article subs, directory subs, etc. Do you think it really matters where you start for faster results?

    Regards,

I would say syndicate articles and bookmark them, as it will give you backlinks and drive traffic as well. Comment posting is also a fast solution but only on do follow blogs.

    My link-building strategy:

    • Directory submissions
    • Social bookmarking submissions (Squidoo, etc.)
    • Direct email to people in my niche
    • An "AddThis" button on every page of the website
    • Writing good content that people will want to link to
    • Extensive in-text links from my pages to other pages on my website
