Looking pretty good so far - remember, you don't have to follow the old site's format. You can make it totally unique.

 

You never really gave us much on the layout to go on. SO heres just a new 'skin' that I worked on.

100% coded.

this is about 2/3 scale version of the real site.

 

While you do have a good point about changing it up, I believe the original layout placement is best fit for a site like yours. Although If I do get an idea to change it up and keep it practical at the same time I'll apply it.
