    PPC is just the "sponsored" listings sections of the website, once your budget disappears, so does your listing.

    Of course if you generate sales and increase your budget then your listing stays and earns you more money.

    Paid advertising has worked for centuries, just in case you were not aware of the impact of such methodology.......:)

    But

    PPC can be used to determine the best keywords to target for SEO, so in a sense it can be seen as a part of the SEO process....:)
