Overall nice layout. Few thing that you might want to consider changing are Tittle Font and the font in your "Did You Know" column. it's kinda small and try putting Google ads on the left at the bottom. Good Luck.
As stated above less ads would be way more attractive. Though design, layout and content is very effective.
Good, the black background makes the content catchy . It is a three column design . I review in IE and find the middle column is below left and right column . Try to hack the html code to make it cross browser compliant .
Oh yeah, very subtle. Not even a link. Still, the articles are duplicates and the images also, I'm sure (one still had the istockphoto watermark on it!). Sites like these are a dime a dozen. Without original content, it's useless. Anyone can do those.
This site could be tweaked a bit. I'm having alignment issues with the top banner in firefox. I get the over all impression that this sites number one priority is to be an ad display site then an informative one. I use to have a few "hot niche" sites and the feedback I received was my site was an ad cow with adsense and banners in every direction like this one has. I totally understand you want to make money from adsense and affiliate programs buts its a little too obvious. You could get more for less but cutting back on the doubleclick banner and amazon. If you feel its a must have then the only other thing you may want to consider is using a little lighter color of charcoal for the left column to break it up from the center content. That would help direct the readers making them feel more comfortable on the eyes and allowing the accept the ads display because your kind enough to seperating them from the content. Finally I know having your address at the top is "suppose" to be a good SEO tactic, you should at least create nice logo or find one to look more legit. my 2 cents
