Well, im planning to start a Blog that promotes affiliate products, and i was wondering, what products work best?, what
Type of posts do i post(reviews, how to's, etc)?, should i display ads?, what type of promotion do i use? Thanks to whoever answers these questions. :)

The first thing you figure out is what you can offer a visitor.

Review pages have always worked well for me, I don't recommend having alot of
different niche related products on the one website gets confusing and is not very
    targeted.

Look at what others in your niche are doing successfully and DON'T assume you can get it right the first time around. Expect to experiment with different topics, affiliate programs, layouts, etc. You might want to start with some somewhat controversial topics for posts just to get people interested, the move to polls and comment based topics to engage your visitors. But again, you'll have to try many different styles to see what works for you.

Not that I'm successful at it, but you also need to expect to waste money on PPC advertising for awhile before you start to turn a profit. You can try SEO, but you may get frustrated and quit because it's a much slower route to traffic/sales.

You can sort it out through top blog directories from specific categories/sub categories.

My old blog made tons of cash by doing reviews for products and reccomending them to my affiliate link. I'm going to do the same with my current blog, though first make sure you build some decent backlinks and some good traffic and regular readers for you start going extreme. Dont bother with Affiliate Banners, not many people click on them just by seeing them, you need to put some detail in before they click.

Just remember, reviews are the way to go. If you can't do reviews, simply write an article and say "This product will help you" make its linked with your affiliate ID.

    Hope I helped.

I think the big question is "what is your interest".. it is hard to promote a product when you are not interested because you don't know anything about it.

As mentioned above, inter related products are good, with reviews for each.

But be prepared to fail and start over a few times.. good money niches are not for every products

i would suggest to start earning revenue from signups.
You wont make anywhere near what you can with selling a product, but its a great way to increase your visitor count when starting. Best of luck

I do fine with reviews on electronics, but first go with keywords

There's a fantastic PPC system put out by James Schramko - called Double Digit CTR - it's FANTASTIC and actually works very well, I tried it myself and got some great results - between 16% - 25% ctr on a 3 day campaign, and James is really helpful too.

I think it is a good idea to write some reviews about a product. When I decide to buy something on amazon, at first I check the comments section of the product to see what real people are saying about it. If the comments are good, I buy it.
