Proper way to request a Username Change?

Can somebody tell me what the proper/correct way to request a username change on the DP forum is? I have searched the forum and the faqs and can't seem to find how to go about requesting a name change?

Some of the posts say not to bother contacting an admin by PM or email. It says in some of the posts just to post in this forum. I don't want to post the exact circumstance in public as to why I want to to change it.

If somebody can let me know the best way to go about this that would be great!

If I don't need to post the details and somebody can just change the name the username I would like change it to is "justtara"

This is the only way to get the username changed. You can PM as well, but since Admin (Shawn) can only change the username, chances are your PM might go unread as he recives a lot of PMs everyday.

 

why does he receives alot of PMs everyday when he specifically says not to PM him?

 

I have no idea, i guess people dont read his signature.

 

I wish it was part of the process though that they be required to put their old user name in their signature for a few months..There are people here with 1000's of posts and I have no idea who they are

Thats true. Maybe their old username could be included in their user title for a couple of months or some specific page/thread displaying members old and new username side by side.
