PayPal holds any money that is currently in dispute. Is that what you mean?

It depends if you're selling a digital or physical product. Generally speaking paypal favours the buyer for digital products as there's no way you can prove you delivered the product.

The best thing you can do is call paypal and ask what's up if you're not completely sure.

I work closely with the risk department of another processing company and can tell you that the questions steven20 was asking were the same sorts of questions Paypal will start by asking. Typically they will put a hold on your account when a certain percentage of your transactions are disputed, or when an unusual transaction is processed on your account (ie a $500 transaction when you typically do $20). From my experience they will want some documentation to confirm the service you offered was completed successfully. Just give them everything they ask for and hopefully you'll have no trouble.

im sure it will be given back to the buyer, if it was an unauthorize claim by the buyer, you will lose it..charge it to my experience, a buyer paid me $120 for an item, i sent it and even faxed paypal all the documents and still the buyer's money came back to him, claiming it was an unauthorized payment :(

It is better you clear the dispute without any problem. I have done many times with my customers. Nothing to worry about it. If you are loossing in the dispute you are going lose the money which you got from your customer.
