There's a domain name that's already expired time ago, I want to register it but godaddy offers me to back order it for 18 $.
so in case of already expired domain, when I backorder it, will it be mine immediately?

Probably not. It will be offered at auction by the registrar that currently holds it and it will only drop if no one bids or your back-order is the high bid. With a back-order you may get a chance to raise your bid if some one out bids you.

The system sucks. Best to wait for them to drop.

edit: look for it to drop about 75-80 days from the expiration date. No sooner that 72 days. And don't keep checking on it everyday!

actually no one will bid it because it's a personal name domain, so if no one bids it, when can it be mine? :D

And a backorder will be about the same amount of time but you will not have to check on it or worry about it.
