Just wondering what are your views about promoting blog or website through yahoo answers . I think its a good place to promote but what I really feel is there are lot of people there who are umm a little bit crazy (who spam around) and such people are increasing day by day. And what I found is yahoo doesn't remove offensive material and spam so day by day it is becoming junk.

They may not remove the spam immediately, but the offenders accounts are terminated or no longer able to use yahoo answers. This doesn't stop them from creating new accounts of course. Eventually the problem will be solved.

Yahoo Answers is a crazy place dominated by the spammers. If you think you can beat them go ahead.
Personally I hate being banned every day and without the proper tools you're most probably wasting your time.

Yahoo answers will get you good conversions, just don't make your answer spammy.

I get targeted traffic to my website and make more than $100 from affiliate.
Definately good source to get traffic but never spam and answer on the related question only

It sounds like they've cracked down on spamming there... In November-December of 2007 is when I promoted my site and I did so by honestly answering questions in my niche and including a link to my forum in every single "Source:" box. I got an answer removed one time, but I e-mailed and complained saying that it really was my source... and that's the only thing close to "trouble" I got.

Other than that, everything went fine and I successfully developed probably 85+% of my member base by answering at Yahoo Answers.

Keep it real, if you really want to succeed.
I answered one question one time and got awarded points for giving the best answer. :)
    Someday I'll go back.

As long as you can find questions in your niche that allow you to sneak in pointers to your site, its ok.

I think Yahoo answers provides a great way to promote your website / blog / whatever. I just generally search for questions particular to my site then answer them honestly and provide a link to my site where it can be expanded upon. Other people stumble upon it and head over to the site as well. I wouldnt waste time spamming it, but definitely stop by and pick apart some questions if you have the time,

That is all that is needed.....so many fools want to spam and it gets them nowhere.

Stay under the radar and make sure you have on target websites that match the answer.....

Answers drives traffic and links....contrary to posts here.... people from Yahoo take the URLs and send them to friends, post on their blogs, websites or social profile pages...some of which are not tagged as no follow.....

    :D
