Always name the image with the keyword you want it to rank for. Additionally, right click the image, select Properties and go to the Summary tab. Fill all the required fields.

 

the image name should be words like "pink butterfly.jpg" and not "232.jpg"

 

also make sure you use title tag and alt tag when adding images to a page

 

Google doesn't read the images, so to let Google knows about the images, there is a tag "alt" alternative text, that is used to fill related keywords while doing SEO..

yes, the most important is to pay attention to your keywords also for youe images, because this is the way in ehich google is going to process them. Good luck!

 

for image optimization, put your keyword in image name. and if your keyword is more than 1 words then use hypen(-) between two words. and don't forget to add keywords in alt tags.

 

Crawlers are unable to the read the images, so you should always give alt tag to your image according your keyword or can use keyword to in alt tag........

Image title tag is must.

 

Use alt tags when implementing pictures. It will be like <img src="blah.jpg" alt="keyword_here_please_now/>. Thats how you should do it, it will get you're pictures better ranked in Google Images.
