Is it really that bad to use numbers in domains? I want to register a domain with either 'w3' or 'w3b' in it
v7n is popular just see to it that it is easy to remember, something like makes sense like a word. something stylish easy to pronouce. w3b - I dont like it.
Numbers in a domain name is not a bad thing, provided that those numbers make any sense. For example, w3c, a2zorkut are such domains in which numbers make some meaning.
Not true. I have a domain (website) with numbers in it, and it's very popular and makes money. What about domains like vegas247 lucky7 lucky11 music1 1200 123.com friday13 124bpms (mine) There are many popular domains with numbers and many instances where numbers are not only appropriate, but very brandable. How about companies that use their phone number as their domain ? Numbers are OK if you can brand it properly, otherwise it is just as bad as any other jibberish junk that people register.
Although I registered my phone number as a domian name, I think lucky11 is too feeble. lucky4u looks better for me.
Numbers like 247, 360, 365, 101 are some common suffixes to add at the end of a domain. But I wouldn't go & start adding numbers to the end of a domain unless it's an extremely popular keyword in front of it.
Do NOT use numbers in domain names unless your website is called something such as "123-marketing" or "studio9" where the number has a purpose and reason. Trust me, numbers in domain names is NOT the way to go. Unless, like I said your domain name is something like "help4golfers" T.Geniu$
There are other occasions, although small. One of my domains is numbered, 124bpms.com, it makes since if you are a dance music junkie because you will recognize 124 Beats Per Minute as the standard rhythm of Dance Music, and also that the Technic 1200 turntable was revolutionized the industry, and was the first to start measuring records in Beats Per Minute (bpms) instead of RPM's (Rotations or Revolutions Per Minute). Some numbers make sense, but as was said, it's a slippery slope and you can get caught up into registering a bunch of junk. Radio and TV stations do it all the time, and if you have a snazzy "800" number, it also makes sense.
If it doesn't mean anything, it is bad. But if the number is required to make the name meaningful, it is good.
