    Hi Everyone!
I want an animated header for my blog and I was wondering if having gif or flash is better. Which loads faster?
    Thanks. :)

um....whatever file is smaller loads faster.

Use flash. GIF is outdated, it's over a decade old and Flash is still actively developed by Adobe. also, it's easy to edit a flash later, the GIF not as easy.

With flash you have more design and animation options. You can make a real complex animation and have more control over the presentation. I would say use flash if you can.

I highly suggest Flash. There are excellent compression tools for Flash videos and you will not run into any issues. We've spent a lot of time messing with Flash video backgrounds and that's where you may experience lag. Aside from that, you're all good. :)

Hi, My suggestion is base on how big the image is, and how many motion do you want to make.

#1 small dimension & little animation (2-3 frames)
Gif is better, flash too much

#2 big dimension & little animation (2-3 frames)
    Gif still win

#3 small dimension & many animation
    use flash

#4 big dimension & many animation
    use flash

PM me if you need help :)
