It's not the first time I hear that Yahoo Answers can be a good traffic source. So far, I haven't gave it a shot. But I'm planning to, after I read the ebook I just downloaded . Thanks for the book, btw.
I don't use yahoo answers ,however this will help get lots of targeted traffic.Whenever i do some research ,yahoo answers appears on SERPS.
nice things to read about this, however im not sure wether it will provide some negative impact on your page ranks...
To be really honest it really works for sure, i usually get around 30-40 visitors/day from yahoo answers. Pretty nice source it is for less but effective traffic.
It is okay for direct traffic, but it is best for long term backlinks. As long as you answer legitimate & helpfully.
yes, that's very true... earlier I started to promote one of my sites by giving answers but my account was suspended after couple of answers. I think relevancy of answer is much more important and also link which u give as a resource or reference must be relevant to the question. Now, I have been doing good with another id and traffic is increasing each day. But u also have to be active by giving answer alternatively.
I not making yahoo answer for a month but the answer i post previously still bring me around 10 visitor per day. It is depend on how popular the question and promise your answer is chose as best answer. Of course, if you are able to post 20 answer per day, it can bring you 20~30 visitor
Yahoo Answers is great for quick surges of traffic. You will notice an increase of traffic from them for about a week or so from just one quality answer. But the real trick to getting the most traffic is being rated as the best answer. The problem is most people who ask question do not take the time to pick a best answer and therefor just watch all the answers you give from your profile and when the time for voting comes around just vote for your answer. It usually only takes one vote to determined the best answer so odds are if you stay on top of your answers you will get the win. Good Luck to anyone using yahoo answers!
As an avid Yahoo Answers user, the spamming links that seems to be getting more popular is very annoying. People are starting to ignore them, so hopefully that trend will die. What it is great for is answering questions that your site is related to. For instance, I run a blog/information site about Natural Gas Vehicles http://www.aftermarketcng.com. So when I answer questions in the automotive section and they are somewhat directed towards alternative fuels ect, I don't hesitate using my website as a source. By targeting users and providing relevant information, you get more return customers and customers who are actually interested in what you are linking.
Yahoo Answers is actually what initially got traffic to one of my forums that I started in 2007. I have since closed that forum down but I plan to revive it within the next year. Once it's setup, I'm going back to Yahoo Answers to let it work its magic for me.
Hey, that's a good suggestion but is it ok to vote our own answer? I think Yahoo answer is enough strict in such a case coz earlier my account was suspended within couple of answers.
