I was wondering what type of offers I should display on a site that's solely entertainment. The site has original comedy videos (like sketch comedy). I expect to get a good amount of traffic in the foreseeable future (If all goes according to plan). Are affiliate ads even the way to go? Or should I go with ppc or cpm or something else?
Join Linkshare and take your pick of MTV,( VH1, Comedy Central) iTunes, and many other entertainment companies. Be aware that Entertainment pays crap...downloads on music, movies and TV shows that is. Good thing you expect a lot of traffic because you are going to need it.
That's hard to say. It depends on what your marketing skills are. You of course will go for what pays the most, but that will depend on what kind of site you put together, the content..how and where you plan on getting traffic from, and whole bunch of other variables. You can't put the cash register in before you stock the shelves with product.
I would try a few different methods to see what works best for you. If you know your site's main demographic, you can also find offers that are entertainment-related, but also cater to what they're specifically looking for.
