Market yourself via twitter with TweetQA, by answering questions related to your niche. Now you might be asking yourself, how can this work for me? What I do, is a Ctrl+F and do a search for topics I know and I'm trying to promote. Like I would search for "vbulletin" or "wordpress" or "seo" and answer those questions, possibly pointing a link back to my sales page. I'll always add the person I just replied too as well, That way you can build a relationship and possibly do some business down the road. I'm going to add a search feature in a few weeks, but I thought I would go ahead and start promoting it now.
The website looks really interesting and it is a nice idea. It'll definitely help the sellers who are selling a product or service.
I'll check into this site. I joined Twitter about a week ago and I'm already addicted to it. It's a great place to promote my website.
Just a heads up I managed to register with twitter using my keywords. I keep getting tonnes of followers, I guess because they search the keywords. So instead of bobrulz, register as toilet_cleaner lol or whatever.
They will also pick up the words in your updates. I would go with a generic username, and just post about stuff regarding your keywords I don't believe the username pulls more followers, over the content you're typing. Actually, I'm pretty sure, I get 20 new followers a day and my usernape is vbsetup..lol
TweetQA is a superb website for gaining authority within your niche and helps you to build targetted followers
I have heard alot about twitter over the last few months, but I have not tried it out yet. Maybe, it is time to give it a try.
I had signed up with Twitter awhile ago but hadn't really followed up on it since recently. I enjoy it. There are many ways to grain knowledge and I definitely think Twitter can be a great and useful tool! JAM
The famous name companies do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My first impression of Twitter was very negative = "A bunch of followers all jumping on the next big trend / hot fad of the month." Using it the way the OP suggested seems like a great idea.
My take is - 1. it is long term benefits (more like branding) - and you have to have good content 2. the same energies can be better utilized in good SEO. What do you think?
Yes, good content is important, combined with the guts to actually be different and start trends. Twitter is great for some people, many others will just follow the crowd and never really do much. I've discovered most people are afraid to risk be "laughed at", and truly stand out from the crowd. IMO, most of those people will never make much money, or feel the satisfaction of really living up to their potential. SEO... SEO = The way Webmasters treat Google like the almighty God whom they must please in order to make money. IMO, SEO is ~10% factual ~40% Total BS ~25% Changing too quickly to ever keep up with. and ~25% something even the leading experts don't agree on. I create, and am planning on making, sites for humans not search engines. What do you think?
yes, anyone can make real money using twitter.. Just like everything else, you have to work for it. Like today, I seen someone looking for an SEO guy. This was her post "It's a full-time Director of Online Marketing position in xxxx" It's a position in my home town, I replied to her and sent off an email to her contact. I've also picked up a number of jobs from twitter that would fall under my vBulletin Services. Like I talked to a company today that has a major magazine and they started a forum a year ago. They need someone to look it over and monetize it. The guy posting is a marketing guy and is on twitter, he didn't find me from twitter, but when he seen I was on it and used it, it certainly helped me get the job. Like I said, as with anything, it takes time and work to build your profile up, but once you do, it pays off everyday.. At least for me.
