I think our current situation is perfect for a new currency, and new, bigger more intrusive style of government.

    You?

    Whose current situation?

You need Canadians and Mexicans to agree (peacefully, not through invasion :) ), and I don't think that will happen.

If this is the Amero, I'll take it. $10 = 1oz silver.

I've heard so much about the Amero. People saying it's true, people saying it's bullshit. Honestly, I'm confused. Can a smarter person that I give their opinion on this?

To be honest I don't know much about the Amero that's why I posted it here. I don't know why everyone has to be a little insecure asshole when something like a new currency is discussed. Not talking about this thread specifically.

Amero? Cheap construction thru unification of almost obsolete terms.
Why not simply UniCur (as in universal currency), with the
images of Jesus and Mohammad on either side, legal tender
by a New World Bank with new headquarters at the UN as the new
    World Currency Clearing House?
That would depict a real unified New World Order.

I'm starting to hoard ameros :D

Its a lot easier than oarding rice. I actually was able to buy 3 - 20lb bags the other day for $15 USD. $5 a bag is cheap.

The Amero has been in the works for over a decade. It is frequently reumoured on "conspiracy" type sites that 9/11 was planned event to help crash the economy, which would be a perfect reason to bring in the Amero. Supposidly one of the best ways to fix a faultering economy is by merging currencies... so... if that is true what does it say of the current plundering economic situations? Did 9/11 fail to accomplish its intended goal of bringing in the Amero... is this current economic downfall all part ofd the plan as well? Only you cand ecide for yourself by doing research.

I kind of think of it as a common market currency similiar to the euro.

Mexico exports something like 90% of it products to the US and that not counting the billions that get send back via Western Union. The Amero could help save the economy billions in transfer and currency exchange fees.

I would like to see some silver backing even if it is no more than a $10 coin.

    How about a gold $1000 amero :D

The North American Currency Union is a theorized economic and monetary union of the three principal countries of North America, namely Canada, the United States, and Mexico.[1]
Map of the theoretical NAU, with Canada, Mexico and the United States

Implementation would probably involve the three countries giving up their current currency units (U.S. dollar, Canadian dollar, and Mexican peso) and adopting a new one, created specifically for this purpose. The hypothetical currency for the union is most often referred to as the amero. The concept is modeled on the common European Union currency (the euro), and it is argued to be a natural extension of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

Conspiracy theorists contend that the governments of the United States, Canada, and Mexico are already taking steps to implement such a currency, as part of a "North American Union (NAU)". No current members of any country's government have officially stated a desire to create such a body, nor introduce a common currency as part of this concept.

Considering the number of bonds and options China has in the US the Yen might be better. Could call it the Yollar. The problem is the price of rice might fall. Bogart might get four bags then?

At $5 per $20 lb bag you can't go wrong. You can always eat the stuff.

Rice and ameros will get me through :D
