So I'm getting about 100 or so visits to my website, but in order to make it worth while, I definately need to find more ways to advertise. What do you all suggest??

That depends on what you sell/provide on your website.

May be if you can lay down more details, people here would be able to provide some advice.

My site is an auto insurance quote site. What I need to do is figure out how to get additional targeted visitors to this site. I cant really use sites like google because the keyword terms are very high cpc and wont be worth it. I've tried facebook, etc, but need to take the advertising to the next level in order to get more targeted quality visitors.

the most targeted traffic is from google organic search, the second is adwords.

Yes, insurance related kw demand high cpc....you might want to learn some skill to pull in traffic from organic search. ie ranking organically in google.

I recommend you learn from Tim Gourman and Jeremy Kelsall. they're using article marketing...and their stuff is top notch and really works.

Write some good, informative articles about your niche.
Then find some article submission directories like goarticles, ezinearticles wtc. There are so many lists available in here DP. Give a small search and find it.
Submit it your articles to them.
Also social bookmark your articles in social bookmarking sites like digg, delicious, reddit, propeller etc.
By doing those you will get more traffic in to your site.
But it may not be instant as we would like to have.

There is a lot of options. Great video on YouTube which can attract new visitors, articles and press releases sent to the right servers, links - you can get good links for example when cooperating with other websites on some services etc...

Search engine traffic is your answer.

It is free and targeted traffic.

What you need to do is SEO.
I suggest concentrate on Google only.
So, go after dofollow links and increase your page rank.

Start a blog and always write some article with rich keywords that is related to your niche. (At least 3 posts weekly). Make sure to insert metatags and keywords in every single post.

Excellent info. I have to agree.

Building linkbacks within auto networks may also help.
