Ok, so my plan is to start a blog that has tips, tricks and reviews about money making products. i plan to post atleast 1 300+ word article each day and getting as many backlinks as i can. Is this a good strategy for affiliate marketing?
affiliate marketing is all about traffic. Assuming you spend time and have traffic, then sure, why not? But, just to make sure i'm through on this point, you need traffic to make money.
It's an alright strategy. Don't necessarily just get as many backlinks as you can though. Backlink quality is more important than quantity. You also have to be careful with your link building. Make a point of varying your link anchor text lots and link to both individual posts and to your homepage. Plus try to get links from many different sources/strategies.
As long as the focus of your blog is to provide information and quality content i think you will do well. Dont spam or try and force affiliate offers down people's throats. Nathan Denton
This is not an earth-shattering idea. Though you can still do it, but not too many people still believe in money-making-products "reviews" if they're not generated by real people using the products. Andrew Hansen is trying to launch one that's a little "unique". He's gonna to pay (if your review is great, and he picks you) people $10-$30 to write money-making-products reviews on his site. Even you hate a product and write a bad review about it, you get paid. May be that will look more "real" to his readers. But I still doubt this is a "great" model to make money. Unless he's only looking at getting some traffic and monetize later.
have to agree with you. This strategy would be a perfect fit a few years ago, but it takes much more efforts these days to monetize traffic
I am using a more "creative" method to monetize. i run polls online to make money. My method netting me around $100 per day. (Some days I surpass $200, but during the week ends I get less traffic. So, averagely, I net around $100 per day My step-by-step is here in the forum: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1208471 Though this is not earth-shattering either, but this is certainly more creative way to monetize than those boring "review sites"
Just about any blog you create can be monetized (Make Money). I currently host a online blog that provides information on how to make money online. My strategy is to provide or supply the latest strategies and methods on how to make money online. But you can host a blog on any topic and profit from it. You have to decide on the topic that you think that will be profitable to you. My rule for making money is: Web Traffic X Good Content = Money
