I think as a species, we Americans have evolved far enough along that we should be able to fully accept.. that HDTV is a right, NOT a privilege. It is barbaric, insensitive and cruel to suggest that we are anything less than deserving of this right. Millions of Americans are incapable of having the services of HDTV in their own home; of course, while the cruel upper class hoard the HDTV's for themselves. What kind of America are we living in?! Ask yourself.. is it really fair that one American gets to watch HDTV in their home while another does not? Do you really think that the land of opportunity and freedom, America, is that kind of nation? I think our founding fathers are rolling in their graves over this injustice. They sailed over to this land for FREEDOM and EQUALITY of ALL man, not just the rich upper class. Now, try and tell me I'm wrong.
Of course. And that's why the big three should have left fall, so that nobody has to drive those shitty carriages and everybody can have their own Mercedes, Audi or Porsche. After all almost every German owns one, who the heck they think they are?
Well first of all a TV is a privilege in itself. Secondly, they gave out tons of those converter box coupons and for those who waited a bit too long, tough luck, you should of done it while you had the chance. Also, you can't get it anyways unless you have an antenna or someone who broadcasts in HD like cable or satellite (which should soon). I mean I haven't watched TV in quite a while (mostly if I wanted to see something I'd just go online and look on the network's site cause most of them are now doing that streaming shows.
I have a tivo clone and I mostly love it but HDTV sucks big time on a windy day! The picture simply hangs or disappears altogether. At least analog gives a constant picture, no matter how windy it is. Analog fades in & out and becomes snowy but at least the sound is always there. HDTV is a much clearer picture and is nicer to watch but it worries me if ever we face an emergency, such as hurricane katrina, we won't be able to access the digital TV for updates. Analog is a better 'right' but that's getting pulled from under our feet. HDTV is best left for the PC and analog should be retained, if only for emergencies.
I am not sure I even follow what point you are making. Nobody is getting free HDTV? The government is not giving anyone a HDTV. This has to do with how the signals are being broadcast. I don't have HDTV, even though I get it from my cable company because my TV's are not HD? Why are you upset? Because everything is being broadcast in digital? Anyway, I am sure it is all a big conspiracy to keep you down Nate. Fight on.
Here you are again playing the "upset" card. I get the feeling you're projecting your own attitude on to me. Who'd you learn that from, LogicFlux? It's odd though that you'd want to use his tactics, he at least has a sense of humor.
You think the government is doing something it should not be doing, and not only is it doing something you don't like but it is for some nefarious purpose as well. Same shit, different day. Just give yourself another pat on the back for your great work fighting the man, I think.
lmao. I guess it is a little outrageous these days for me to ever think twice about what my government does. After all, they've prove to manage my money better than I ever would. Now be a good boy and buy up those Obama plates.
How cute, brownie makes a creative post. If your insult wasn't clever enough I would never have been able to confirm my assumption about you. Get lost brownie boy.
Dude, I have no idea what you are talking about anymore. I was just teasing you, if you inferred an insult, I did not mean one. It was simply a joke retort to your plate comment. The government makes me post on your threads just to distract you from more important things.
Ahhh I get it, you're starting to learn how to joke around Your best bet from now on is to make sure to come back to this point in every post and thread. It's a pretty flawless tactic actually, someone else I know uses it a lot.
