    Do you?
I'm asking cause my parents are christians, I'm an atheist and my dad thinks I'm scared of ghosts, so we made a bet. He told me to stay in a cemetery for an hour without leaving which I almost did, except once I got in there it started to snow... so I had to leave.

So I'm left wondering, do you believe in the supernatural? Or are my parents just nuts?

I'm atheist too. Well, Isfinist actually. That's not on this topic, though.

    I say no ghosts.

I know of a pcychic person in Bulgaria who passed away a few years ago.
She was blind, but man she was able to "see what you have in your house, she could tell your name, the names of your family members, she was able to talk to people who have passed away, She was helping sick people, people that no docktor could help, people who had problems that they didn't know how to resolve, and etc. ................ There was a sign up list booked for 1 year ahead to see her. Her name was Vanga, you could just ask any Bulgarian over 25 years old about her and he'll tell you some story about his friends or family members that have seen her.
(For the curious she was doing it on a donation bases, so people no matter poor or rich could go and see her.)
Peace and Light to her soul, she helped tens of thousands of people.

I am sure every country has people with psychic abilities. Google it and you'll find some in US.

Excellent story Might. It is true there are many people like this who offer their realized abilities for free on a donation basis. It's a great thing to do, and lately I've been seeing something like a philosophy behind it. These people get more money in the end while at the same time not excluding anyone simply because they don't have enough $$$$$

Money and health don't collide well. Helping others is a priceless thing really.

    ---

In response to the OP, I believe in the natural not "supernatural". Energy is neither created nor destroyed. If you think that over you'll begin to realize we never truly die. I couldn't imagine living in this world without trying to see the bigger picture.

Our five senses are not as accurate as what other animals like sharks have got, also theoritacally it can be proven that there are millions of unsolvable problems, that is even our brain has got limit, so with limited senses and limited intelligence , we can possibly understand .01% of the mysteries present in the universe , so you can say .01% of the events in the universe are natural , 99.99% are supernatural.

I know ghost exist but there is no reason to believe in them, means no reason to think about them.

I was going to reply to each person who posted subsequently to me, but then I realized all of the responses would be exactly the same-

    What?

Not an athiest and part of the reason is because i've seen some weird stuff, with witnesses too. I suppose there could always be an explanation for anything, but at some point you just say f**k it and start believing. Why are you scared though exactly?

No they are not real. Anyone that is saying they believe in them because they are religious, of course you are going to claim you have had encounters with them. You want and make believe situations in your head so you can justify that spirits are real. Its just something silly that happens in people heads.

How about when I just talked to my friend who I hadn't seen in several years and the first thing he asked is if I remembered that time when the glass thing fell with no reason and didn't even break. And yes, it was impossible enough that we both never forgot it.

I'm not talking about chills or weird feelings, that's just your body. Something really happening is kind of hard to explain away as being in your head. (at least hard to explain away to yourself)

Is that it solutionx? A glass thing fell over and didn't break? Hardly compelling. Even if there was no apparent reason for it to fall over there is a lot of more likely causes than a ghost.

Fair enough, but the situation didn't lend it'self to outside influence. Not really trying to make a big deal out of it, just that it was one small thing out of many in my life that seemed like a little clue to the supernatural.

If one episode such as a falling glass that doesn't break is not a sign of supernatural, then 1,000 episodes like that one during a lifetime are not either.

I dunno about that. If you go by statistics it makes it 1,000 times more likely that they were all signs.

Only if all those signs happened in a single day, or a short period of time. In addition, our minds always tend to record more the things that caught our eye more often than the ordinary events, so after a while, low-probability events are over represented in our memory.

We see thousands of faces each day but only register the familiar ones, and that's why we consider a 'coincidence' when we run into a friend by chance.

In reality, It was actually more likely to be caused by ninjas. At least we know they exist. There are countless explanations to invalidate before we get to dead person in another dimension as the only logical explanation.

Of course, It would be handy if instead of pushing glass things over these people picked up a pen in a lab and wrote stuff down. That never seems to happen. Though i'm sure there is some convenient ad-hok explanation, Probably something to do with "energy", which prevents them giving us any actual evidence and stick to doing apparently random acts of tom-foolery and vandalism.

Absolutely, but everyone has there threshold for related coincidences/period of time, and mine's actually fairly high.

I was talking about living ninja.... is that not more likely that a dead person from another dimension who, for some reason or another, decided to knock a vase over and prevent it from breaking?
