Can you change name server under VPS?

    We have a VPS account and the host gave us a dns: example ns1.whatevername.com ns2.whatevername.com. Can we change it to something like ns1.newname.com, ns2.newname.com?

    yes, it is possible to do that provided that you VPS has DNS server software installed.

    Go to WHM -> Nameservers and then remove existing nameservers.

    Now enter the nameservers which you want to create. Do not forget to create nameservers from your registrar control panels too.
