How is it, that one of my sites ranks really well on Yahoo compared to any other search engine?? Can anyone help me understand why a site can rank for almost every top keyword on yahoo but doesnt even place anywhere on google and other sites.
Google generally gives more importance to the content of the page what you need to do is set keyword density for your targeted keywords in Content and see the change in your SERP results.
Yeah I think it's all about the content being unique because Im not even listed on google but my site has only been up for 2 weeks...
Yahoo uses an algorithm Google uses another Msn other one etc. Your site might fit into yahoo's algo better than other search engines
if you are running up a blog then yahoo loves that i dont know about google and msn. because i have some good results from yahoo compared to google and msn.
That's too long... It should take a maximum of one week to get listed in Google [without SEO], probably much sooner if you started SEO from day 1..

Google is much more appreciative of older, more mature sites than Yahoo! and newer sites tend to have an easier time earning rankings on Yahoo! search. Essentially, Yahoo is more accepting of amateur, new, lower-quality content while Google tends to focus on highly authoritative Web content.
After contains its pagerank for the the site ..The more the backlinks to your site with all top pagerank site the higher it stands in google.
if you have unique and quality content You will get traffic from all major engines So all you have to do is make unique and user friendly content
Yahoo is using a different algorithm than google. For example, my website is #3 in google for its main keyword, but in yahoo it is like number #20-30.
As far as I know,you can try to creat blog .then add your links to the blog,after that google will receive your links and website.
I think its really hard for new websites to rank well on Google.. But I have seen many newly created websites doing quite well on Yahoo
