ADSENSE Project

    Hi all,

Having reached the point where my first website can be called a success and earns a regular income I am now looking to create / buy a second page. My first site is geared towards affiliate marketing and to mix things up a little would like to create a site geared towards adsense.

Although my first site is now earning a decent income it does take almost daily work to keep it at that point. I do not have this sort of time to dedicate to 2 projects and therefore would like something easy to manage.

    I have 2 questions.

    1. Is it possible to create a site earning a fair wage that does not require regular work and can be kept up to speed with the odd bit of maintenance here and there? I understand that promotion is key and getting your position in Google requires a lot of work but I am happy to do this. The thing is my original site is football based. In order to get the traffic I need I have to promote each match post and this can be 20 per week. The income is definitely worth it and I am happy to continue with it but I want a site where I promote the site itself rather than posts.

    2. Can you recommend the best niche based on the above?

I am fine with building pages and am eager to get started.

What you are asking does not make any sense. If someone knew a niche for making easy money, he would fill it himself.

are you talking for MDA (Made for adsense) websites? Maybe you earn some money in short term. It is not gonna work out in long term.

MDA (made for adsense) websites are the fake websites that the major goal of the website owner is to earn money via adsense, Nothing more.
Most of these websites are not useful for people.
most of the clicks on the ads on such websites are fabricated and illegal. Maybe you can make a money for a couple of months but as soon as you grow, you will be banned by Google. Their anti cheat system is very sophisticated.

what I think is very simple, if you want to be successful in Adsense, follow these simple (but hard) rules:

1- create a quality website for people not for making money on adsense.
2- advertise for your website, work on the SEO, and increase traffic.
3- Place google adsense on your pages. (you can do it before you start step 2)
4- Enjoy with your adsense income.

but you should always think about the way you can satisfy your visitors and make them to come back to your website. Not to think about the ways you can generate more fabricated clicks on the ads.

You may want to have a auto pilot site which gets content from RSS feeds, or a made for adsense site MDAs dont work well though

I recommend targeted niches that focus on one specific topic. Go from hair care > scalp treatments. The more targeted, the higher your CTR.

    Google doesn't like duplicate content.

MFA blogs is not a wise move.

It is all about finding out the trends of people who use google.

Obviously you have probably figured out that people want to read about modern, recent football games rather than old ones. So here is what you do. Make a site or tailor your blogposts so they are targeted to what people usually search for about games. Make the blogpost way ahead of the game. Promote it until it gets to #1 of the google search term. Usually just submitting it to digg will do the trick. When the game comes around, everyone will search for that term, your site will be #1 then bam quick and easy traffic.

Don't bother with trying to promote for only one keyword. Much more easier to just do it post by post. If that keyword goes bust, you are out of luck. However, if each post is for a different keyword you are diversified and will have stable income.

If you want a long life niche you have to go for something that is timeless. Just think of something that will be around for a long time or has been around for a long time. For example, keywords like finance, accounting, health etc are timeless because people will always search those terms. However, keywords like 2009 football games is not timeless because after 2009 is over no one will search. Everyone will search 2010 football games. You get my point. The downside to these timeless keywords is that they have alot of competition. Usually you'll be up against very high PR sites who have been around for a while. Which makes it hard to even break in. For the first couple months or even years, you'll never rank in the top 50 for the keyword.
