I don't think it really can, and if it did people would not buy forum sigs or even want them on their own profiles. Look through the posting history of the people here on this popular forum and count just how many of them have hundreds (even thousands) of PR0 and even PR NA links... (the person that posts after me gets the first outbound link on the PR NA page it'll create )
I was going to say the below, but vstar beat me to it. What I will say : You can have lousy links from sites that are not optimized for the same keywords you are and still not show up in a good place in the serps. Get relevant links to your site and you will be doing good SEO.
i thought that yes pr of the links matter. But.. If you all the 100% links are PR0 but they are relevant to your site, i am sure there is no harm for your site. Thanks
Assuming that you are referring to LinkVana, let me set the record straight... LinkVana is NOT a link exchange service, the links are strictly ONE WAY!
I dont buy the idea of too many links quickly will create problems. What about if your website becomes very popular overnight and a lot of site are blogging about your site. Google uses spiders to crawl web pages and if your site is mentioned in a lot of the pages you will get credit. Forum posting is an excellent way to get links quickly and google will credit your popularity. The only thing google hates is link farms, exteme black hat methods and cloaked pages full of junk.
PR0 links with the right anchor text and from relevant pages do help. They are certainly better than no links at all. If I was Google I'd be suspicious of a web page with only PR3 and above links coming in. The other advantage of a stack of PR0 links is that it's a little bit harder for competitors to find where your links are coming from.
If you want quality links better syndicate articles over renowned sites like Ezine Articles, Goarticles, and bookmark them also. From there you can get links and traffic both. Otherwise if you are interested in link exchange only. You can follow these steps: Step #1: Collect quality resource • Search for the sites relevant to your website theme by typing all relevant keyword phrases in Google, Yahoo! • Search engine can crawl only hundred links on a single page, always prefer to add links where the number of links on a page is less than hundred (including inbound and outbound links). • Avoid Links from different websites on a same IP address as it comes under link farming technique • The link page should not have the “rel=nofollow†attribute Step #2: Send emails of link building proposal- Prepare an email template for sending link building request. This is the most decisive step of a link building campaign. While writing emails for link building request, you should keep few points in mind. • Be assured that you have visited their website. In your email, put a line about their website. • Be delicate. It should be a personal request and should not look like coming from an automated program or software. • Offer them something of value, remember to point out what‘s in it for them. • Add a line to explain the importance of link partnership. Note: Never send link building request number of times, to a single email ID, as it can irritate the receiver. Step #3: Follow up- Follow up is required at weekly interval to check the persistence of links. Always remember! There is no short cut for link building as in this you can’t expect result over night.
I don't think it would hurt you at all. It sure won't count a lot but there is no way that it should actually hurt your site.
Don't care too much about PR. The most important thing is whether the link is relevant with your site? If it is, just build as many as you can
You can not control who links to you. You can work to get your own incoming links. Why would you focus on links that are not going to be used?
when you talk about PR then you must know that it is completely different term from ranking.... with ranges of PR0 to PR10 , PR0 websites are the one which have the lowest authority figures or as PR depeds upon many factors thus all PR0 websites do not havemuch. Now when the links are from PR0 websites even though there will be no loss but the quality of links will not considered as quality. so try to get links from PR2 to PR4 websites whcih will give good ranking...
PR0 baclinks will not hurt your website until and unless they are either from different niche websites or from porn websites..... they might not be that much valuable but stillthey do not husrt any website
Having a pr 0 back link will never hurt your your site's pr instead it would boost it. Having ahihger pr back links will even help you on getting a good pr.
My experience is that you cannot have too many PR0 backlinks; just don't expect them to rank you above links with higher PR Ranking. For instance I recently did a seo search on a keyword phrase I was exploring for a niche and I found one instance of a site being ranked at Google #1 that had just 3 backlinks and the site ranked #2 had 130 links to the page and over 1,000 links to the site. When I checked deeper the site at #1 had one x PR8 backlink and 2 x PR6 backlinks. The site ranked #2 had 126 x PR0 and four either PR1 or PR3. Although nobody truly knows how the great God Google operates, in this instance it certainly appears that the 3 backlinks from high ranked sites impressed them more than 130 backlinks from sites with lower PR ranking. If I owned the site ranked #2 I'd make a handful of PR8 backlinks and then the 126 PR0 links will help your link ranking exceed the site above you. But what the heck! Position 2 in Google for a commercial keyword phrase is still darn good. Hope this makes sense. Cheers, Davmac
PS. If you make the links using keyword phrases that mirror the page you are trying to rank in Google then a link with a phrase match is rated superior to a link that has no phrase match. Assume you are trying to sell widgets and the keyword phrase you use is "bright green widgets" then just find a blog about widgets on a high PR site and post a reply to that blog using the phrase "bright green widgets" in your comment. Although your URL will not show to the public it is entered when you post your comment and Google spiders will make the backlink for you. Cheers, Davmac
