Has anyone here tried an Online English Tutor?

    A friend of mine was telling me about learning English online with an Online English Tutor. Has anyone here heard about this before? Is it effective?

    it depends ..if you find a real good tutor then it will be good...
    you can find various online help for free..

    It is very effective, I met a person on another smaller forum called 9mb.com and we got talking, and I agreed to teach him english online, he paid me $20 for an hours lesson. We talked on MSN, and I made sure I always talked to him in pure English! He became so good that I started teaching him abbreviations!
