Meta Tags and description

I am setting up a Cubecart 4 shop.

I have the option there to put in every category and every product meta tags and description. If i use the same tags on all the pages, will the site rank bad or worse in Google and other search engines.
Is it better to use different tags for all the products and categories???

 

I would suggest you to use different title and meta tags for different pages..

 

I completely agree, that way the person searching for said content will be taken to that page, not another page on your site.

You use different meta tags and different title for each page then your site will take good rank in search engines .

 

If your products are categorized for different pages then you have to use different keywords in the title and description based on your product,then each keyword will be ranked in search listings.

Caused Google will not suspect that's duplicate Meta Description

Google Says:

I suggest to you please used the unique meta tags of all the web pages for website.

 

Hay follow the above advises dude ..........they are quite good

 

People use the same tags because they have lots of pages and its a lot of effort, but its necessary to have unique tags as each page is unique
