I have written quality content in that and now i would like to go for adwords for ads, i asked my father for money for adwords and he said "This all is fake you cannot earn from your site". In what ways is your site set up to make an income? It doesn't seem like the sort of outlet that would benefit from an Adwords campaign to me. Focus on natural search traffic.
Hello friend, a few tips: Sign up to http://money4banners.com (if you have a PayPal account). They give you $10 for signing up and $5/month after that for putting an ad on your site. This would give you some money in your PayPal to show your dad it works, and spend on AdWords (if they accept PayPal). Secoundly, change the header of your site, because IMHO all capital letters look a little tacky. Thirdly, keep updating ~every day (I see you have been, well done ). This will bring back readers, and search engineg spiders. Finally, mabey try and optimize your site a bit to increase SERP (Search Engine Ranking Position). Look around DigitalPoint and on the SEO section for help on this. Good luck
I also want to use adwords but I have decided not to ask money from parents. It is not that parents will not help I have decided that it is a new business and if I fail I dont want to loose my parents money. It is ok to ask 100$ from parents but not more than that. means I can feel it is ok to risk a very small amount of your parents money. I am building brick by brick. doing forum posting and jobs in dp, and earning money. I am using this money to buy quality content and save it for adwords. It will take a few more days, but if I will be happy that I have secured my parents money.
Respect your parents and work on getting back links like everyone says, dont throw your parents money away work for it build links and you will be a sucess, dont stop every day get a link, make links your life goal and you wont be sorry, thats what i do, eat sleep and dream links and if i dont get some daily im not satisfied.. You don't need to go for adwords to bring traffic in to your blog. It is easy and fast. but if you can be bit patient and out some more work in to it, you can attract lot of traffic It is not easy and also it takes time.
TELL Them google is a big name and they never hold payments becasue they are doing business with the help of publishers and advertisers. And 100$ is very short amount for google .. Google makes millions so why they will hold just few $ It happened with me my relatives were laughed at me that u will never paid but when i paid ... everyone was surprised by seeing my cheque. If your parents are not helping then i will say don't look further and across adsense 100$ target when they will see that you have been paid then they will help you. If they will not then u must spend 50$ in adwords as a beginner and 50$ for fullfilling ur wishes or treat.
The only monetization on your site that I could see is from adsense. It would not make sense to use adwords for traffic. Quick example you pay .25 for an adword click. If ads are placed well and good content you can expect a max of around 11% CTR. So for 100 visitors you pay 25 bucks. Your return even at an unexpected CPC of 1 dollar would only yield you 11 bucks at the 11% CTR and even that would be very hard to achieve. Your niche can make you some good money but I would suggest you focus on the following. 1. Long tail keywords 2. Proper on page and off page SEO. You have no Meta Description and no keywords. The description is the bigger part. you can use the free All in one SEO plugin (Free) or if you are serious and have the money use the WP SEO Sniper cost is around 100. 3. Better link bait page. I take it your resource page is the link bait page? It needs a ton more work. This is the page were others will want to link to because it will be a great refference to many for the info it provides. 4. Focus on a few affiliate products. Further to what jerdei has said - Google actively discourages arbitrage - using adwords to drive people to your site in order to make money from adsense. They are likely to ban both your adwords and adsense accounts.
If you are a beginner i suggest you (as some others on thie thread): start working for organic traffic, promote your blog on forums (free of course), make some backlinks, continue adding content to your blog, keep it SEO friendly and just once you are earning some buck from your site then consider to spend for any paid advertising method
You can try another way since you not able to use adwords. Article marketing, yahoo answering, and link building can also provide traffic. Spend some time on it
My parents won't help either. Listen hun, just do your own thing and one day, you will be able to show them your $1m cheque and say "I did it, I'm a super affiliate!" Good Luck!
AdWords is the wrong route to go down - focus on building backlinks for appropiate keywords. When traffic starts coming, you will see all your efforts paying off.
Adwords would work for a period of time, the best way is to get search traffic. They are the people who will keep coming back.
Maybe you can find some other ways to generate income and then use your own money to fund an advertising campaign?
This is a hilarious thread title. I just had to reply. You should thank your parents for saving you $100. That would've been a huge waste. You do not use AdWords to drive traffic to a personal blog. You are almost guaranteed to lose money that way. AdWords is for businesses who actually make a decent profit from their traffic. It is not for people who will maybe make $1-$2 from 100 visitors. As everyone else above said, focus on seo and trying to build organic search engine rankings. That is how you will succeed...not by pumping money into short term ppc traffic.
