Just recently signed up to affiliate window mainly because of play.com and a few other big retailers.

Anyway what im noticing is that say "Burton" retailer for example ill click it to join and it will just dissapear from the affiliate listing. Or even ones i havent joined like an organic food shop i was going to join. I look through food and its gone so i check recently closed merchants and theres none hmmm.

Is anyone else a member ? and if so anything you can tell me as im new.

Ohh and if anyones kind enough please sign up through the link in my signature:)

What's the affiliate program like with Play.com?
I currently have an Amazon account but its really too expensive for the type of customers I want. Since I target books, and Play is free delivery, its the better option.

What's the commission structure like, and do you get a script like with Amazon Stores?

Play pay pretty low i cant remember the exact percentage the good thing is, is that its play lol. Everyone who wants dvd's goes to play, likewise for playstatation games etc. So even though the % of sale is low im making a fair few sales:).

Ohh if your kind enough to sign up through my link that would be sound:

    A true salesman! :D

Look I'm right anyway, that everyone loves Play. Think I'll ditch my Amazon store, but I'll keep the account for another day: there's still worldwide customers to target

Nothing personal but they don't want you to promote those retailers that's why it's been taken off from your list. They have more merchants than what's shown on their website but you have to know whose hidden and you have to ask/apply and accepted for it. Hope this helps.

Ps - But please don't tell them that I told you this ;)

So you have to be in "the club" if you want to promote the better merchants? Wish AW would get off their high horse and treat everyone equally. What's next, no reply to my emails when I get a problem?

I thought this is an industry standard. High achievers get the rich picks! Do you think the world is fair? I think not.

Yeah I suppose so. It seperates the wheat from the chaff. But on the other hand internet entities with massive discretionary power also terminate people from their programs and hoard the revenue. This may or may not be as a result of abuse by the affiliates, but my point is I wish merchants, sellers, affiliate programs etc would be a little more transparent. Having a blog and saying hello to your customers isn't enough.

You only have to look at Google Adsense and Adwords or the government. How transparent are they!?

If you really want to promote that particular merchant which has disappeared from your list, why don't you speak to Awin and ask what criteria you need to fulfill so that you could be put on their list.
