Well... stop using VBulletin and just hack phpBB yourself? I don't get why people pay that much for a few hours of coding.

Edit: Maybe I could make money from that.. *goes to hack Joomla*

Its not that I don't like it, its just that I don't see the point in paying money (if its a lot or not) when you could just spend a few hours changing the code yourself.

You would think they would be on different servers? Maybe someone found a big hole in the 3.6 beta.

You might see the point if you were running a large forum.

I know which one I prefer using - as an admin, moderator and user... I've been all three on vB and phpBB. It's no contest.

I haven't been able to get on their website all night and it's also causing problems for my admin panel, nothing works because it tries to pull info from their site but since it's down it just gives me a blank page.

Vbulletin.org doesn't work for me either.

Have you been in the admin cp of vBulletin or been an admin of a vBulletin forum? 99% of the time once you've started using it you find out it's worth the money.

Yeah, I just spent ten minutes thinking about that and I've now decided to go hack random OpenSource stuff, fix security bugs, etc and sell it xD

I will take responsibility.. I finally decided to buy vbulletin, so I am pretty sure this is why it is down. It is avoiding me.

Why has vBulletin.com been down so long? Is it down for the count? I've been waiting for someone to push an owned vBulletin license to me and I know in a heartbeat that he'll forget about it if I don't tell him to do it, and when we finally both came online I told him to do it and vBulletin was down - it's been down for what, over 12 hours now? Is it down for the count?

I really don't feel like getting scammed over this vBulletin license.
