Adsense Revenue is unpredictable. At least from my experience one day can be great, the other a bust. I think as time progresses people will catch on and ignore the ads altogether. Your thoughts?
thats the way it is. adsense income depends on how much advertisers pay for the ads which varies from day one to day 2 based of competition/number of advertisers and several other factors (advertiser account history, QS of the site, CTR, ect). you dont look at your daily income but your average income to determine whether to stay in this game or not
most people who visit your site are there for your site. most people learn to just ignore ads because they see them all the time. they will only click on one if it catches their eye. if you think your not getting a good CTR on your site then you should do a little testing and move the ads around to find a good position that gets you a good CTR
If your site is a forum or blog such that you get a lot of return visitors, those visitors will quickly become "ad blind" and will not click on ads.
I believe you are wrong. People will always click on advertisements that are directly related to the content they are seeking. That's why Google continues to make money month after month. Even Yahoo pulled off 1.6 Billion in Ad Revenue last quarter.
You're saying that people won't click ads anymore? That's simply impossible -- if your traffic is organic.
Yes, to a certain extent. As a user becomes experienced in using internet more, he tends to skip ads. However, this is more than compensated by young breed of inexperienced users starting to use interent.
Ofcourse people are going ad blind, but, there are many other factors for not having a huge CTR like past.
YEs ! i agreed to this argument that people are not entertaining ads up to that much frequency that it is in past years. This might be the fact that they are know more educated about it as compare to past. buy hey!! Some revelent adds worth!!
If your site received high number of unique visitors, then there's a high chance to earn a lot, a high chance to get ad clicks. As long as the ads that are included in your site are relevant to visitors, they will still be clicked
Clicks come from two types of consumers - newbies that click anything that moves... And the consumer that is looking for something specific. Those newer to the Internet click more often as they are exploring and discovering where the links in the ads will take them. This sometimes leads to a sale for the advertiser. The more experienced Internet consumer is looking for something specific. They are less likely to click willy nilly, but when they do find a relevant ad, they click and the advertiser is more likely to make a sale. That is why we try so hard to get targeted traffic to our sites - we want consumers or visitors who have a need that is either handled by the information we provide or by an ad on our site.
Yes, I think so, People always try to avoid the adsense ad, even when I visit some one's page, I always try to avoid the adsense, don't know why? but it always happens to me.

Sometimes it can go up every high but at times, it could be totally zero even though there was same number impressions. That's what adsense is.
Couldn't agree more. As stackman said, users become "ad blind", but it is compensated by newer / inexperienced users. Anywho, revenue shouldn't be fully reliant on adsense. Why put all your eggs in one basket?
Experienced users become "ad blind", but, if you change placement, layout, etc. You can get reduce such "blindness"! I say it because another day I saw an automotive site and when I looked at it quickly, I didn't realize where ads were placed and we work with Adsense, so we identify it easily! So I could click in ads thinking it was real content! Relevant content + relevant adsense = relevant money!
