Google Start Testing CPA Ads

so is this the end of PAY PER CLICK ??? T T

 

I would cancel my adsense account before I allowed those ads.

Im not going to be responsibile for how well an advertiser markets his product on his site.

There are other problems too.

A user sees an ad for Ford motor company, clicks it. Surfs their site, and goes to a dealership and buys a new car. I get -$0-

If I wanted an affilliate ad in that space, I would place one.

 

How would this work? What if a user on my site clicks the ad, likes the product that he sees but decides to click out of the site and buy it later? Would I still get the commission?

 

This system favors the advertiser who pays there ads to have some sales or what ever. this what really advertisement means. But i guess that the amount of ads that they will pay will be pricey.

I would not cancel my acount dough.
We have a million of other affiliate networks for CPA things if we want to run CPA offers.

 

It should be higher earnings per CPA, but you have to convert clicks to signups before getting paid. If you don't then you will most likely earn less.

 

From my expirience this is not that easy even for free signup offers people often don't want to leave their personal info, then for sales you will need to send a lot of traffic to have some sales.Also how much of this sales will be even awarded to you, cookies are deleted and so on ?
We all have this already.It will be new thing only for Google advertisers.

I just hope that this is not begining of end of CPC AdSense.

 

In CPC based programs, publishers can cheat.. in CPA based program, advertiser can cheat. Lets say he shows the tracking pixel from their website only 80% of the time..

If Google implements CPA ads, then it would be similar to a straight-up affiliate program, but it would definitely be different.

Say, you own a sports site and have different pages, one for weight lifting, one for baseball, one for skiing. Now, it's not impossible, but quite hard to find one affiliate program that can provide links/ads to all those pages.

With Google, they display the ad depending on the content. It's like joining 100+ different affiliate programs, but under one program: Google Adsense. So, it'd be more convenient.

However, Google better allow you to edit the ad text and get rid of "Ads by Gooooogle". Otherwise, it'd be pretty mediocre.

 

I agree, I hope it is not the end of CPC.

If you have to produce sales to get earnings, then I can't see me taking part in this new thing. What is the point. I prefer to pay high paying merchants that offer datafeeds so you have alot more customization with their products.

 

CPA has been around forever, just not from G. It's not the end of CPC it's just another method for advertisers to use. Also keep in mind that CPA is not a viable option for a lot of advertiers.

 

That's true about CPA not being a viable option for some advertisers. I definately know that I can't really use CPA and CPS as I don't sell anything or have many signup forms.

I would prefer to advertise my sites using CPC.

 

the biggest problem here is would this program replace the PPC program?

and would chikita, YPN still exist with the PPC models? or do u tink everyone will eventually turn to PAY PER ACTION

cause all these sites with adsense on community sites and forums would not make a penny with this PAY PER ACTION

 

CPA is just another advertising vehicle Google will offer - it's not going to replace anything. CPC didn't replace CPM and CPA won't replace CPC. CPA is not even a viable option for a lot of advertisers.

 

Forgive me if I'm missing something here, I'm pretty new to all this stuff.

I'm thinking that the reason advertisers participate in the per click program is to get traffic to their websites in order to sell something. If they are set up for online sales, why would any of them continue on with PPC if the option of CPA is there? Wouldn't that hugely cut the number of advertisers participating in the PPC program?

If it will be the end of google PPC then some other major company will get in PPC business and earn millions. Id doubt google are that stupid.

 

Google may have a bad time in finding adspace then.

 

Ok but who are the advertisers that would want to join a PPC program with another company when they can have CPA with Google?
