    Add the following:
More images on different pages. That way the visitors have to browse through many pages of your site with different ads.
Post a few articles with some images in the middle. Make them as unique as possible, but keep them short, 400 to 500 words.
A simple quiz related to your site subject. A simple yes or no quiz is fine. Once the answer is submitted, offer a "reward" for participating - some unique pics, a fresh article, a link with your affiliate id in it....

Your site will only load in the frame once the user clicks on the image.

As suggested a redirect will help and use a compelling CPA instead of adsense for revenue and to create a bit of stickiness.

If you can the visitor to look beyond the pic they are only there to download then you you will start getting somewhere.

I used to never even look at the site when grabbing images however I do nowadays.

    Regards
    Mark

Not if they are staying for only a few seconds, which many times search engine traffic is usually like anyway. Pictures, or no.

I'm breaking out of the frame now. 10% of my hits are staying for more than 30 seconds.

Will look into CPA as I've not heard of it before.

AdSense is getting my 3 clicks from 1,160 impressions which doesnt look very good.

Will add some more images to some other pages.

write articles and submit them , you might think this is much but its pays off big time ... just write 50 artilces and submit to ezinearticles, articledashboart and go article... by the time you go around and submit this keyword rich article themn you will see more search engine ranking and more visitors will spent time on your site

Look at your log files. Where did they come from? What keywords did they use to find you? Then take that information and put something of value in front of them that matches what they are looking for. Thats how you make money.

Are you using any sort of traffic exchange site to get traffic? On those, people will often click to your site to get the traffic and then move on right away.

If you are having trouble writing the content, you can get it custom created usually for somewhere around $5 for a 500 page article

If i may add my 2 cents, I know that images really grabs a person's attention. Even if they are cheesy, just keep them simple, yet something interesting... something that obviously would go with your post's topic.

You'll be amazed just by a single picture as to how much interest your readers will devote to the entire blog after... even if the content is sub-par. However, you don't want to rely solely on pictures alone, so in that i think it's best to add some graphs, tables, charts, etc. to your post...again something that gets your readers active.

    hope that helps!

that is your fault. Make your site attractive and easy to use. Lot of users have no time to waste so they want understand content from first impression.

Well 5 seconds doesnt really give enough time to read any of your articles so i dont think the quality is the reason, the design may be but i've stayed logner than that at sites with awful design to see if the content is good. I think its just that when people see your headers it isn't something they are interested in reading.

Just noticed this on the Statcounter 'length of visit' page:
Do you think this will affect a blog as its only really one page isnt it?

Since I'm been messing around with the blog the most popular page has changed from the page with the pictures on to the home page.

I wish you could see how many pages each visitor clicks on.

Two simple things to extend this to write quality content and intriguing headline . You may also add some images to make it more intriguing.

Previously they were entering the blog on one of the two image pages and coming from a google image search.

Since doing the frame break out and adding some more contnet people, according to GA and SC, are now entering the site from the home page and clicking on to other pages and even some of my ebook/Clickbank links.

As you can see all the blog posts on one page they can read the entire site without changing pages so according to teh stats their visit time could be less than 1 second but they are staying for 10 minutes to read the whole thing. Its confusing...

88% less than 5 secs is quite less and surprising... not sure what kind of site you have, but clearly either there is not enough content or the quality isnt very good. The packaging of content is imp too - too cluttered sites leaves a bad impression and taste - organise content well visually, also try add pictures - they always attract attention
