After reading quite a few threads here the conclusion that I have come to is, Adsense income has crashed for many, which probably is due to recession. Advertisers are spending less, which results in reduced income for us, adsense publishers. But surprisingly, some have reported a drastic increase in income, a few claim January has been the best for them.. I would be interested in knowing, where do you get most of your traffic from? Has the income for those not targetting US traffic crashed? I am from India and most of the Indian publishers i spoke to, who basically target Indian traffic, have reported a huge fall in the last 15 days or so. Very confused at the moment.. as my income has gone down by more than 60%.. i wonder if there is any chance of it picking up.. Btw do vote in the poll above
If your web site and Adsense ads are about a topic that has been negatively affected by the recession (buying cars, buying collectibles, stock investing, buying new homes), your Adsense revenue is going to be impacted. However, if your site is about how to avoid foreclosures, how to get loans with bad credit, working from home, or buying cheap health insurance, your Adsense will have seen a big increase in the last few months.
Hmm interesting. You do make a lot of sense.. Mine is a tech site and a movie blog, both have been affected.
For the past couple months, my adsense income has been on the decline. Traffic has been steady though.
mine's about the same although the amount per click has gone down quite a bit but the traffic has gone up to make up for the lower amount per click.
Interesting survey. My cpc plummeted 40 percent for last month and most part of this month. But all the way my traffic was going up and earning was marginally up. Second half of this month, ctr also improved along with traffic. CPC also recovered slightly and hence my overall earnings is heading UP. So at the moment, I cant complain.
Nowadays, Adsense seems crazy to me. On some days I make 70-80 cents per click and on some days it goes down to 10 cents per click. Overall, CPC is a bit lower than a few months back....
My income steady to the same as the previous 3 months but my traffic is up by an additional 600UV per day. Clicks are up as well so I can guess that the only reason I'm not feeling a downfall is because of the higher amount of traffic. I pull around $11 per day from adsense but to a surprise this month 1 out of 3 days shows in the $20 area. The reason I'm not falling like the rest is because I have been making increasing the size of my sites by adding major articles inside.
I vote crashed despite my earnings is a little bit higher than last month just because i have more visitors. CPC is much lower (0.02 - 0.04 cents).
