Help with appealing

How do I go about appealing a ban? I was just banned for invalid clicks. I have accidentally clicked my own ads once or twice when editing a site, but I know this has happened to several other people and they have not been affected by it. Lately though, the number of clicks on my account has skyrocketed. One day I even had a 700% CTR on the google search box on my site. I was getting ready to contact google about that, but was banned before I got the chance. Any advice on how to go about getting my account back? I honestly was not the cause of these clicks and believe that someone has been going through and clicking my ads a lot, hopefully not with the motive of getting me banned, but there's a chance i guess. Help me please!!!

You may be able to appeal this ban, but you've already admitted that you broke Google's TOS. Although it was a "minor" infraction, it is still enough to lose your AdSense account.

I realize that and that it's enough to be banned, but I thought google may have a little understanding for an honest mistake every once and a while. How do I appeal? The only thing I've done so far is respond to the letter saying I was banned.

"I have accidentally clicked my own ads once or twice"

As far as I can tell, google don't give a crap about you doing that. So you have to have clicked a lot more than once or twice. But you were most likely clickbombed then. Just go to the "Contact Us" link on the Adsense site and let them know what happened.

Just look through DP and see how many honest mistakes have been made. When you sign-up for the program, you agree to follow the TOS, which explicitly state you cannot click your own ads. Google has to enforce their rules, end of story.

Like I said in my earlier post, I have a feeling that someone else was falsely clicking. A 700% CTR and 52 clicks wasn't normal for my site, so that was probably more the cause. My problem is that I have no way of finding out who is falsely clicking so I can ban them from my sites. I guess I have no grounds to stand on with google though since I did make the mistake of clicking my own ads once or twice. Guess I'll just have to move on and try to get into YPN where false clicks are just not counted.

    Here is what I know.

They ban your site and send you an email.

    You respond to that email.

They send you an email with what they will want to know for the appeal.

    You respond to that.

They let you back in, or they don't.

As far as I am conserned, Google could be banning accounts at random just to look like they are doing something for the big ad clients.

With out telling us what they think an invalid click looks like to them, and/or a system of warning a publisher of a problem we are at their whim and mercy.

My account is currently banned. I don't have the server space to save log files (at midnite they are used to update the stats and then auto deleated) I don't have the manpower to be looking at the adsence site every hour.

If I can be banned for the actions of someone that I don't know, and have no control over, then I have to wonder if this is really worth it to me.

I agree with you 100%. If I can get into YPN, I will probably never use Google again. YPN is much more fair with their users, pays better, and if they think it's a false click they just don't count it, instead of instanlty banning you.

If and when YPN goes public, I think Google is going to be introuble.

I don't. Google don't ban people for one or two accidental clicks, but they do when the person's CTR shoots up randomly. And in most cases they email you first.

I never recieved an e-mail first though, I was just instantly banned. So what happens then if someone buys a site with a high CTR, or changes something and his CTR dramatically increases, are they just banned because their CTR shot up?

Yes, if it goes back down again the following day, and all the clicks are in a close time period.

    What does that mean???
does it take days to simply write a mail and inform google about it??

Or were you just enjoying you sky rocketing CTR.

Or google banned you within the second you noticed the high CTR

I had been away on vacation and came back to that CTR. I literally checked my adsense account, went to eat dinner, came back and I was banned.

I e-mailed them right after recieveing the ban e-mail, but yes, I did go to eat dinner with my family for 30 minutes after seeing the CTR and high clicks that happened while I was gone. (I was gone for 2.5 days with no e-mail access.)

That's what I'm expecting :(. I've heard that google tends to blow you off and doesn't really give you any details.
