    hi there,
I think that as the time is passing by, more and more people are becoming femiliar with ads and real text of the website, Now most of the people know that either they are clicking on ads or internal link. So as the time is passing few people are clicking on ads and in this way earning is decreasing.

What do you think about it ?

True. But theres also a knowledge that ads are in fact ads and people love to click on ads: its free, its risk free and its free :) So they will keep on clicking anyway.

As well as that there are also a lot of new users coming onto the internet so there will always be people unfamiliar with ad formats.

Since when do people love to click on ads? when's the last time you click on an ad?

I think web users know clearly what ads look like but they don't care: they know they can click and don't be charged, so they click happily.

The idea with ads is that users are supposed to want to click on them because of the content of the ad. You're not supposed to trick them into clicking on them.

...and not to forget Due to Mozilla's Open source software - Firefox, more people are now using adblock plus! Which is leading to downfall in ad earning :D

    Bad economy, fewer ad dollars.

    Good economy, greater ad dollars.

Guess which economy we're in now?

User's will click ads they find interesting. And it's the sad truth that most ads are completely over looked.

If you try to trick users you lose. People will ALWAYS click on links that are relevant to the content they are seeking whether they are ads or not. There is a reason Google continues to make money.

People like to blame someone, but when you start making less it's nobody's fault but your own. Your job is to figure out why and fix it.

Random web user (not we - webmasters) understand web ads as a free gift at a candyshop: its there, its free to try (to click) and they can leave wherever they want. They have been learning this for years now.

Earnings are low cause: a) advertisers are paying less and b) Google is cutting a bigger piece of the pie for themselves, But blaming the random web users is just not correct at all. (If you do have a blog/site targeted to webmasters, that is another story... and yes you're fu$#$ up.) But normal users don't care if its an ad or not: its a free ad :) and everybody loves a freebie.

I also think users dont care whether they click on ads or internal links, as long as the ad / link is promising what they are searching for.
the overall decrease in adsense revenue is probably more due to the global economic crisis / deflation ...

That’s true but bear in mind also that certain people will still click on ads regardless of reasons if they find it interesting. I'm one of those people :)
