It confuses me how he manages to gain so much profit from Adsense. I joined the site today and checked it out and all of the Adsense ads (there aren't many) and affiliate banners are all tailored towards sending users on to another paying dating website; why would people want to do that when they are already on a free dating site? I wonder if he makes a lot of money on CPM ads, rather than clickthroughs. There are 100s of social networking sites that could turn the focus on free dating and pretty much take a line share of the traffic that Plenty Of Fish has! I just don't see how someone could run such a site in two daily hours and manage to maintain such a high profit and traffic line. If you can pardon the pun, something smells fishy.
Old website, tons of traffic will make that happens. If not, then the more websites you have the more earnings you get. That's the secret.
When you open a message in your inbox there's a vertical banner on your far right, 120x600. On main pages there's also a leaderboard, when I hovered over, I saw the Google syndication code and when you pop in favourites there is a vertical banner, 160x600, again with the same code. They have a large forum, but it seems to be ad-free! On second check, there's also a square Adsense banner on user profiles. There is plenty of Adsense on there (mostly graphical images), suggesting that he must be making a killing on Adsense CPM ads.
Yes, it is very much possible if we give any new thing to the viewers. Not the same old dating, video sites etc.,
