Help me chose a Laptop: Dell Studio / XPS or Sony!

I am in the process of a Laptop for myself.... And I am confused between these 3

Dell Studio 15
Benefit of this is...

• Pricing
• It has got Designer Covers, by Mike Ming.

Dell Studio XPS 16
Benefit of this is...

• Graphic Card
• Leather Finish
• Upgradebility

Sony Vaio FW
Benefit of this is...

• Good Screen
• Good Service by Sony
• Good Looks
• Config is ok.

Now I am confused between these 3..... I am kinda more interested in the Studio XPS 16, because of its good config. But Studio 15 has got good looks.

Can any one using Dell or Sony here, suggest the better choice.

If you really have some money to spend then the obvious choice will be Sony VAIO.

 

I am getting lots of replies saying go for Sony Vaio...
But when I compared the config. of Sony Vaio FW Series and Dell Studio XPS 16.. the Dell scores more... its got 512 graphic card as compared to 128 mb in Sony... also there is difference in RAM and HDD... Adding to my confusion....

 

I prefer Dell Studio XPS 16. Dell company laptops are good among all as per my experience.

 

I vote for Dell Studio XPS 16..good design for me and ATI 512MB graphics

buy dell studio series. its cheap and amazing features. 3 gb ram 3 gb cache memory , 320 gb HD , 256 mb video ram etc etc nice series cost is 50000 rs

 

Go a step further and get Dell XPS 17.

 

Dell XPS is better than Sony for sure. Stick with it man.

 

Why won't you go for Toshiba? Toshiba is more durable and it is guaranteed that your laptop will stay with you in the next ten years. Just upgrade the OS and softwares, of course.

 

get the Sony FW. I am getting mine on ebay next week (my second Vaio)

 

better choose DELL...

 

I think you have to choose those laptop which is best in quality as well as in terms of warranty also.

 

I think Dell XPS would be better for you as per my knowledge

 

actually there's nothing wrong with the 2 brands... I like them both.. You can take any of them as long as it have a great specification.. that's the main issue actually

And as per my personal experience,Sony VAIO is the best.

Because with this products i have good time since last 2 years.

 

Sony VAIO is awesome and XPS both are awesome. Personally I'd prefer DELL XPS. Do not go for Dell studio unless your budget is low. If you are from India then do not order online. Call them at their Toll free number and you can negotiate for discounts. Believe me you can really negotiate and you'll definitly get some discounts. My friend did the negotiation and he got a really good discount.

 

I like the new Dell XPS, you can pick up vinyl stickers that give the same effect as the designer themes on the Studio range. I really don't know if I will go with the Dell or a Macbook.

 

Yes DELL have a better configuration then VAIO..
I am using VAIO from last 2 years.. Its Awsome...
You can go for DELL but remember dell have a very wrost sound quality then SONY Vaio.

so if you are considering the sound also then no comparison of Vaio.....
